Where are your branches located?
Commercial Marine has three branches across the Eastern Cape – in Jeffreys Bay, St Francis Bay, and Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). Each branch stocks our full range of commercial fishing, recreational fishing, outdoor, fishing lures, stainless steel accessories, and sunscreen products.
Do you cater for commercial operators or only recreational anglers?
Both. We serve commercial fishing operators, recreational anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Our commercial range includes specialist stock like Metal Halide squid fishing lamps, parachute anchors, McKinnon anchor chain, Klusmann anchors, mooring rope, lead dollies, bulk fishing line, International antifouling paint, and SAMSA-compliant safety equipment.
Commercial permit holders and fleet operators are welcome to enquire about trade accounts and bulk pricing at any of our three branches.
Do you stock stainless steel, and can I buy in bulk?
Yes – stainless steel is one of our specialist departments. As direct importers of marine-grade 316 stainless steel components, we carry one of the Eastern Cape’s widest selections of marine fittings, including cleats, hinges, grab rails, shackles, fasteners, deck hardware, chain, and more.
Because we import directly, we’re able to offer competitive pricing on bulk orders. Boat builders, marine contractors, and coastal property developers are welcome to contact us for bulk or trade pricing.
What fishing lure brands do you stock?
We carry one of the Eastern Cape’s largest selections of fishing lures, with brands including Rapala, Shimano, Daiwa, Halco, Owner, Storm among others.
Our lure range covers saltwater poppers, offshore jigs, soft plastics, crankbaits, spinners, spoons, trolling lures, fly fishing patterns, and creature baits – for both saltwater and freshwater species. If you’re not sure which lure to use, pop into any branch and ask our team. We fish these waters ourselves.
Do all three branches carry the same stock?
Can you help me choose the right gear for EC conditions?
Absolutely – that’s what sets us apart. Our staff are experienced anglers who fish the same waters you do. Whether you’re targeting kob from the surf at J-Bay, chasing yellowtail offshore in Algoa Bay, fly fishing the Kromme River estuary in St Francis, or planning a commercial squid jigging trip, we can point you to the right gear, tackle, and lures for current conditions.
Don’t hesitate to walk into any branch with your questions – no matter how simple or technical. We’d rather you leave with the right setup than the wrong one.
Do you stock SAMSA-compliant safety equipment?
Yes. We carry a full range of SAMSA-compliant marine safety equipment including life jackets, flares, EPIRBs, fire extinguishers, throw lines, whistles, and first aid kits – for both commercial and recreational vessels.
If you’re unsure what safety equipment your vessel legally requires, our staff can walk you through the requirements based on your vessel class and operating area. Don’t head out without the right safety gear on board.
Do you offer online shopping or delivery?
At present, Commercial Marine operates as an in-store experience across our three Eastern Cape branches. We believe that for fishing tackle, marine equipment, and specialist gear, there’s real value in speaking to someone who knows the product and the local conditions – and that’s best done in person.
